Background on GREEN COMMUNICATIONS

Formed in 1990 by company President Talaat Captan, Green Communications has quickly emerged as a leading independent producer and distributor of feature film entertainment by continuously supplying the international marketplace with high quality, marketable projects. Sensitive to the needs of its growing client base and the ever-changing atmosphere in a business which has fallen victim to an abundance of product, Green has successfully risen to the top of the industry and is positioned to become one of the premiere independents and a major force in the international marketplace.

Presently, the progressive company has an exciting mix on its extensive production slate including THE TIME OF HER TIME, an enticing art house film ready for delivery and GROUND CONTROL, an action/drama with a major international theatrical cast.

An extraordinary artistic drama based on a story by Pulitzer Prize winning author Norman Mailer, THE TIME OF HER TIME, has just finished post-production and is gearing up to participate in the festival circuit. Set in Greenwich Village, New York in 1959, at the dawn of the sexual revolution, THE TIME OF HER TIME, which was filmed on locations throughout Los Angeles and Mexico, follows the exploits of young Sergius O'Shaughnessy, an ex-matador who uses his experience in the bull ring as a metaphor for his sexual conquests. Linden Ashby (Mortal Kombat), who will be a regular next season on the international hit television series "Melrose Place", stars in the film along side beautiful newcomer Leslie Bega (Lost Highway), diverse and talented actor Larry Drake (Darkman) and veteran filmmaker Melvin Van Peebles (Posse), who adds a classic Hollywood element to the film.

The fall project on Green Communications' production slate is the action/drama GROUND CONTROL, an original film conceived by company President Talaat Captan. Two years in development, GROUND CONTROL stars internationally recognized talents Kiefer Sutherland (A Time To Kill, A Few Good Men, Flatliners), Kelly McGillis (Witness), Robert Sean Leonard (Dead Poets Society) and Kristy Swanson (Buffy, The Vampire Slayer), in a gripping story about the highly volatile world of air traffic controllers and their struggle to protect millions of air travelers every day. An interesting topic that has yet to be explored in film, GROUND CONTROL is flying high as it continues to receive tremendous attention, not only from the likes of such established talent as Kiefer Sutherland, but from buyers worldwide.

From the beginning, President Talaat Captan and Executive Vice-President Marion Captan had out-of-this-world plans for the Burbank-based company which made its name by creating spectacular science fiction/action films such as the critically-acclaimed APEX. Recently, the company took off in a new direction where the high-quality production values remained the same, but the type of genres varied.

The first film to follow Green Communications new direction was the contemporary psychological thriller, LIVING IN PERIL which had all of the ingredients that Green Communications felt would be necessary to make the transition a success, including an exciting and unique storyline, an impressive cast and international appeal. The company also recognized the potential to sell the film to all media -- a vital factor in today's competitive marketplace. Rob Lowe (Contact), James Belushi (Jingle All The Way) and Dean Stockwell (Air Force One) head the all-star lineup.
