DIGITAL MAN

Created as the military's new top secret weapon, the computer engineered super-soldier, Digital Man ( Matthias Hues) was designed by Dr. Parker ( Paul Gleason) as a prototype for the next generation of digitally-created troops. Outfitted with an array of hi-tech weapons, Digital Man has the capability to engage a small army in battle - and win.

When Captain West ( Adam Baldwin) receives a terrorist threat from a group of renegade soldiers threatening to launch a nuclear first strike, he has no time to consult his superior, General Roberts ( Ed Lauter). He sends Digital Man, who easily defeats the renegades in a bloody battle and secures the codes, performing beyond all expectations.

General Roberts learns of the mission after its completion and is inexplicably angry. When an evacuation unit or 'Evac' picks up Digital Man to return him to base, Dr. Parker secretly activates a cyborg ( Clint Howard) aboard the Evac who forces the pilot to change course. As Digital Man and the cyborg battle for control of the craft, the pilot is killed, forcing them to crash-land near a small town called Badwater, in the Nevada desert, home to some strange local characters, including the wise-cracking Mildred Athena Hodges ( Susan Tyrrell).

To recover the Digital Man unit, Roberts orders the army's most elite team, the A-2 Squad, into action. Led by Sergeant Anders ( Ken Olandt), the team is made up of specialists in their own fields of combat: Gena ( Kristen Dalton) in computers and comunications, Woon ( Woon Park) in guerilla tactics, and Jackson ( Sherman Augustus) in sniper fire and hand to hand combat.

Now they must face the most terrifying weapon imaginable, Digital Man, not knowing that members of their own squad may be "digitally enhanced" humans, a less-advanced version of Digital Man complete with implanted memories of a human existence. Against all the odds, and the scheming General Roberts with his own hidden agenda, the A-2 Squad squares off with Digital Man in a battle to the death, with possession of the launch codes and the world's fate hanging in the balance!
